Franchise #20
The Boston Beaneaters began play in TCBA in 1902 as Franchise #20. They were led by the league founder, Jim Lafargue. Following the 1907 season, team control was shifted to West Coast promoter LJ Honeycutt and renamed Western Marvels. Franchise #20 was disbanded after the 1908 season. It would be 70 years before the Franchise #20 would be reactivated, by Jim Lafargue in 1978 in the Meadowlands
